Kairos is a board game that combines strategy, randomness and challenges. Kairos invites each of the players to discover their interests, recognize their talents, dare to explore new fields and shine in their element. We invite you to be part of this experience!

Why Kairos?

Many agree that when you get involved in what comes naturally to you and you're passionate about, you can achieve extraordinary results; however, this something that brings afloat your talents is not necessarily clear to everyone. Kairos is a way to explore personal tastes through challenges, fueled by several modalities people use to approach the world, in a playful and fun atmosphere. The ancient Greeks had two kinds of time: Kronos, which is closely related to the most common concept of time that involves sequential measurement, and Kairos that refers to the timing, the opportune moment that presents itself. As you go along the trails you can combine the randomness of the dice with the strategy of the movement in both directions and the ability to change paths that opens the Kairos key to select the challenges that allow everyone to shine in their element.

About The Element

In his book: The Element: How Finding Your Passion Changes Everything, Sir Ken Robinson specifies 4 components that converge when a person feels "in the zone" or what he calls "the element": aptitude, passion, attitude and opportunity.

Kairos is dedicated to Seymour Papert, who passed away July 31, 2016 and devoted his life to promote the idea that learning is more effective when it's part of an activity where the learner builds a meaningful product. This powerful idea, that serves as the foundation for constructionism, has inspired a myriad of programs, tools, methodologies and people that become tangible in Lego Mindstorms, the Maker movement, the Scratch community, the Clubhouse Network and many more.
